Tuesday & Wednesday: 10am - 5pm (Our Kitchen is closed)

Thursday - Monday: 9am - 5pm (Kitchen closes at 4pm)

Beach Road Bakehouse is located overlooking St Bees Beach. It is now under new management from Gina Goulding who runs a local bakery at Kells, Bakes by Gina.

- WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE (Please park at the "end" of our building, best to drive up the slight hill as we have levelled the ground to allow wheelchair access).

We have spent a few months of 2025 renovating our Cafe, which officially opened 7th June 2025, with our Kitchen opening the following week 12th June 2025. We serve high quality, homemade breakfasts and light lunches Thursday to Monday, with our Kitchen closed on Tuesday & Wednesday you will have to enjoy our homemade cakes and locally roasted coffee instead!

Our aim is to create a community with our cafe, where we buy from local businesses to support local business. Our Coffee is roasted at Kells, we order our Cakes from my local business Bakes by Gina at Kells & our Ice Cream is made locally in small batches at Whycham Valley. They are all bought direct from local businesses. Our amazing shop supports local businesses too.

Today we hosted 36 lovely ladies from Bigriggs Ladies Club. Sandwiches, salad & Chips …. Limited photos as we were all too busy nattering ….

Unfortunately due to the likelihood of our Summer Rush we will be unable to take bookings like this until after September.

We will be starting outside catering before long … Buffets of homemade sandwiches, Sausage Rolls, Quiches etc …

FREE - anyone after some chairs? They’ll be going to the tip Sunday so please help yourself. Outside of the cafe, free to collect

Our kitchen re opens on Thursday from 9am serving breakfasts & brunches. We’re working hard to recruit our kitchen team to be able to serve delicious meals 7 days a week!

Short of 3 months ago when we approached Aaron from @lakeland_life_cumbria to organise and manage a fundraising event on the grass area outside of our cafe, never did we think it would be to this scale! 🎶 🍻 ☀️

Absolutely amazing to see St Bees seafront come alive this weekend. A real family day out with live music, local food & craft maker stalls alongside @stbeesrnli & @BeeUniqueAutismCharity which had inflatables, a colour run & Pan Disability Football Tournament organised.

What’s special about these events? They are organised and attended by locals, local money is spent in the local area & because it’s spent on local businesses the income is then kept local!

Once we have a better idea on our fundraising total we will share that too,
